That's true, but I just relate to your statement (nhp890) that CB aren't safe because you can't adjust release tension, that's all :) I'm sure that you haven't ride them!

You can't adjust tension of release in Crank's because you just don't need it! You don't have to use any force to release your foot, in opposite to Shimano! And in Crank's you can chose between 2 release angles. I was riding few years on Shimano SPD, and now I ride 3'rd season with two different CB, and they are much better and safer! Cheers.
